Welcome to the home on the internet for the Southwest Symposium Biennial Archaeological Conference. The Southwest Symposium organization was founded in 1988 to promote new ideas and new directions in the archaeology of the U.S. Southwest and Mexican Northwest.

The 19th Biennial Southwest Symposium is now underway in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico (January 16-19, 2025). As reflected in the program, there has been a change in venue, and the conference will be held at the Universidad Tecnológica de Paquimé in Casas Grandes.
